What is Diabetes?

- Slow-healing wounds
- Recurrent infections
Type 2 Diabetic information: Body with Type 2 diabetes does not produce enough insulin for proper work, or the cells in the body do not react to insulin (insulin resistance). Approximately 90% of all cases of diabetes worldwide are of this type.
Some people may be able to control their type 2 diabetes symptoms by: monitoring their blood glucose levels, doing plenty of exercise, losing weight and Following a healthy diet . But type 2 diabetes is typically a progressive disease. It gradually gets worse. The patient will probably end up have to take insulin in tablet form.

Although the main causes for developing type 2 diabetes are still not known, there are some important risk factors. These factors contains:

Some pregnant women who have never had diabetes before but who have high blood sugar levels have a risk of developing Gestational diabetes. Gestational diabetes affects about 4% of all pregnant women. These mothers may go on to develop type 2 diabetes after childbirth.
